@Charles: Thanks Charles. It's not HDR, and in fact I took it with a pretty cheap Sony. I did step down the exposure (b/c of the light). In Photoshop I sharpened it and bumped up the contrast just a bit. Thanks for your comment!

@PD: I have found my favorite thing to do with these bright shafts of light, or sunsets/sunrises, is to either meter off the light or underexpose the picture, and just see what I get. I also think timing was a good thing here, the early morning sun had a great angle into the cathedral.
